Native Plant Resources

Southwest Chapter Meet Up! Seed Up!

Come socialize with the Southwest Chapter of the Colorado Native Plant Society and pick up your native seeds for this year's growing season. We will be giving away native seeds and demonstrating how to make a peat free soil for your native plant propagation efforts. Come meet your new SW Chapter Chair, Kenar Houghton. Kenar did research on this gravel-compost mix. Her results concluded that this soil media is similar to native soils chemically while peat moss is extremely different. Moving toward a peat-free horticultural environment could be one of the most important steps we take to slow climate change effects. Come learn more. We look forward to reconnecting with you after this winter and/or meeting you for the first time. All are welcome!
